Lucid Thoughts - Chapter 4 We just don’t understand enough about making decisions in uncertain situations; risk management is seen as a process and the sources of bias are not well enough understood. This is a big and important subject and we continue to research and write in this area with close colleagues. At its heart, management (and life!) is about making decisions when things are uncertain, when we can’t see the way, when many more things might happen than will happen. Managed change needs really effective risk management but for reasons we are only just beginning to understand, risk management is not effective in most places we encounter. Some ideas about why were shared with you, but there’s more to say.
